Part of our journey toward a self-sufficient life sometimes takes a lot of time. This week I am getting ready for a craft show on Saturday. Though I have some stock, I really need to bulk up what I have in order to have a good selection for those attending the show.
We just put a new kitchen floor in, so our house is in disarray and I don’t have the time to work on it. Sometimes, you have to set aside the house and just work hard at the goals you have for yourself. I really shouldn’t even be writing this post. LOL
I mentioned about our kitchen floor because this is where I usually make my candles. With a new floor, I am so afraid to ruin it, I am working in the garage. As we continue to grow and become more sufficient, I hope to have a studio or at least a space to make the candles that doesn’t affect my home and isn’t in the cold! Fortunately, the Fall has been warm so I am lucky to not have freezing temps out in the garage.
My plan is to make as many candles as I can during the day and work on other items, including packaging and labeling the candles, inside. Let’s see how many items I get made before Saturday. 🙂
Well, I am off to get more candles done before I have to pick my some up from a college visit near Cleveland. Yikes!
Working hard to live better,
